Over the next several months you may see Ameren crew around the community making improvements to the poles, wires and technology that deliver safe, reliable energy to you and your neighbors.  Along with these system enhancements, they are also upgrading the electric meters at customer properties.

Here is the lowdown on your meter upgrade:

*Ameren Illinois or our installation contractor Donco, will make the meter upgrades normally Monday – Friday, during regular business hours.

*Installers will have Ameren ID badges.

*Installers will knock on your door to let you know they’re on site.

*The upgrade will only take 10 – 15 minutes.

*There will be a brief interruption in your electric service.

*You don’t need to be present as long as the installers have clear and safe access t the meter.  If you’re not present, a door hanger will be left to let you know if the upgrade was completed.
