The Village of Aviston is seeking applicants for Part Time Police Officers. Candidates will be expected to provide professional, hands-on leadership while building strong communications/relationships with the Aviston Village Board, current police officers, and most importantly the community.
Although the following criteria are the requirements of this position, candidates with a different level of education, experience, or military service, who can demonstrate a high level of competency and have experience with police department management as well as State and Federal reporting requirements, officer training and testing and department policy are encouraged to apply.
- Be an Illinois Certified Police Officer.
- Be able to satisfactorily pass a background check and drug test prior to hiring.
- Note: Candidate will also have other requirements for career certifications and formal trainings.
Salary for this position is dependent upon the qualifications of the candidate.
