The Village has been informed by several residents that they are not receiving alerts regarding the boil order. Many people have opted to NOT enter their information into CodeRed, even when it is suggested. It is also important to update this information in the system if you have moved from one location to another. Please encourage your neighbors to enroll/update as this alert system is what we use to notify in case of weather conditions, garbage issues, boil orders, hydrant flushing, etc.
Information can be added/updated easily from your own computer or smartphone. Please go to www.avistonil.org, scroll down on the home page to CodeRed Weather Warning and click. This will bring you to CodeRed’s page to input information. You do NOT need to set up and account and can click on “guest” to input. Add all information you would like and when you get to the second page please move the pin in the upper right corner as close to your address as possible. If you do not move the pin to your location important updates regarding your specific address may not get to you.
