The Village of Aviston has been made aware of red foxes in Village limits, particularly in the subdivision on the northwest side of town. The Village has been in contact with Animal Control, as well as the Department of Conservation, and has been given the following information regarding the foxes or any other wildlife that enters the Village limits:
-do not approach the animals,
-do not feed the animals or leave food out for them to scavenge,
-keep your distance and advise your children to do the same,
-use this as a learning opportunity for yourself and your children,
-enjoy viewing the animal’s behavior in it’s own habitat,
-the animals will return to their living areas, away from residential areas, when they are able to.
